I know this 1891 isn't what Shelagh asked for, but it helps us see the bigger picture: |

Uh oh! The children are hers! They're Jordans on the 1911 census so E. Hurlbutt on the 1920 passenger list is Ethel Jordan. They're not married yet but posing as man and wife! |

At the end of his sister's address on the 1920 arrival it looks like W Toronto has been squeezed in vertically. |

Perhaps she was on the same vessel and it was a shipboard romance? <3 <3 |

Curiously I can't find the record of her arrival in Canada but if that's her arriving June 1920 and they married in September same year they must have known each other previously? |

The date on the original of the marriage is 1920 not 1926. I see he was a widower. |

Andrew Hinman Hurlbutt (b 1866 North Shields) arrived in Toronto in 1920. He married Ethel Alice Jordan(nee Baker) in Toronto the same year. She was born in Deal kent and she was on the 1911 England census with her 1st husband and children. I would love to know if they travelled on the same ship and dates of death etc. |
