The 1901 census had Alexander on it. He was David's son. David was on the Griffiths Valuation 1857 as was Alexander. David died 1872. :-( |

My GGGt Grandfather was David Spence and to the best of my knowledge, his wife was Elizabeth. They did have one child born in Scotland and the rest in Ireland according to the 1901 census. Alexander his son, my GGt grandfather stated, born in Donegal, where Thomas stated Scotland. I know that Alexander was married in 1849 in Raphoe Donegal, but don't know where in Donegal he was born. David and Elizabeth had the last 2 children in Raphoe Donegal. |

Elizabeth White was born 6th. June 1804, the 4th child of James White, baker, and Anne Middleton in Kilmarnock Ayr. The parents married 1797 in Loudoun Ayr. Elizabeth married David Spence in Kilmarnock 02/04/1824 |
