Would you have a look at that 1930 US census please. The mothers name and the childs name with MH as the initials. It says Mannie on a correction entry but the child is listed as 'daughter'

Looks more like Marieanne?

Edit: I found the 1930 family in 1920, children Margaret & Daniel 7months, Wife is Delia grrrrrr

Sue

Can you see an incoming shipping record for the family, I cant seem to find one?

If it is the correct family going to NY then Margaret must have come back to marry in the UK in the 40s

Elizabeth

Elizabeth Report 19 May 2012 13:58

Thanks Sue. Very grateful for your help.

Susan

Susan Report 19 May 2012 12:47

Hi Elizabeth

It also states that Micheal is a farm lab on this same record.

May have some connection.
The shipping record I am looking at says all born Ireland and destination NY
Sue

Elizabeth

Elizabeth Report 19 May 2012 12:17

Yes, they certainly know how to keep you guessing!!

And.. they all seems to be called the same! Typical.

Gee

Gee Report 19 May 2012 12:06

I think the line through the childrens names means they didnt travel?

The shipping record also has Margaret as being born in the US

Oh dont you just love the Irish records ;-)
