Well I'm still picking spelling and pronunciation errors here so have been looking under Benton., Boot, Boothe, anything that may seem possible. Its a great long shot and I'm getting no-where so far, but shall keep looking. |

This family is wealthy. Very wealthy. So the missing ladies could have been anywhere in the world in 1901. |

A couple of other thoughts...Francis Wilford Boteler lived in London in the late 1890s at 27 Piccadilly - whether this was a club or not I cannot ascertain. So wondered whether Ethel could have been at his London residence in 1901? After their marriage they lived in Chelsea and had a place in Hampshire where he died...pretty monied! |

Hi Mary - I wondered if they might be off visiting their brother. But obviously Ethel was back by October 1901 because she married in London. |

I too have looked for all sorts of permutations of Edith in 1901, including was she registered as Edith Aline, or some other spelling. And I've looked for connetions, as mentioned by Mary, between Burrell, Booth, Law, Denton, Ord and Boteler/Botelier. Nothing. |

Madmeg, I think that her elder sister must have been resident at their London address at the time of the marriage since younger sister gives elder sister's address on the Marriage Certificate. |
