yes that is definitely the right Edward Rawlinson. I don't know where he was born. You could well be right and maybe he was married before i just don't know. There is definitely a big gap in age. Do you think it's worth paying someone who deals with family trees? I'm just wondering how else they could find anything on her, seems impossible. my grandmother was born in 17th July 1921 in stourbridge. She had an older brother called Reg who was born in 1917 we think. Her sister Olive was born in 1923 and her other brother Clifford was born in 1926. I know her parents split up after Clifford was born and my great grandfather went on to have another child with another woman. He was an actor and i have seen on 1911 cenus that he was boarding in a house in Bristol and was classed as single when he was 32 years old. i'm sorry i don't seem to be much help but very new to this.

The only Hilda birth that I can see with mmn Williams was in Stourbridge - unless of course Hilda was a middle name that she was known by?

With the difference in age I wonder if Edward was already married

My grandmother was Hilda Rawlinson and she had two brothers and one sister. I can find information on all those relatives even my great grandfather but don't know where to start with my great grandmother. i know she was Doris Williams and not much else. i really have searched what seems like forever!!!

hey thanks for replies. She was born roughly in 1897 and my Great Grandfather was called Edward Rawlinson and he was definitely born in 1879. I was told by my grandmother and aunt that her maiden name was Williams. Also i know it was Williams as my grandmothers birth certificate says it.
