Eliza's name is Buckler, they spelt it wrong on the birth certificate for Robert but not on the marriage certificate (took a lot of digging to make sure it was right lol)

Thank you for the information about the further births, I only have 4 at the moment.

Joseph's father was called John Lawrence but still can't seem to find Joseph's birth either! It really is a mystery I can't seem to solve.

If it is Buckler then there are a further 6 Walsall Lawrence births with mmn Buckler from 1917-1929

From the marriage certificate, Joseph William says 'mines' and his father, John Lawrence says 'mines' also.

I wondered whether I could ask for some help in finding my great grandfathers, Joseph William Lawrence, birth records. I have a wealth of information for him but can't seem to find his birth.

The details I currently have are as follows:

* Joseph was born around 1882, as I have found his gravestone which says he died at 70 years old on 1st May 1952 in Walsall, Staffordshire.

* Joseph William married Eliza Jane Buckler in Bloxwich, Walsall on 23rd April 1905. I have this marriage certificate where his name is displayed as Joseph William.

* I also have his sons, Robert Lawrence, birth certificate. Again his name is displayed as Joseph William in Walsall.

Any help would be greatly appreciated on this. I have searched and searched, including name variations but can't seem to dig up anything.
