Mike, I have looked at other George Olive's born around that time and they either died or have traced them on further census's living with other people. this is the only one that any way near matches. As they were illiterate I thought a few years either way was expected. I dont know what else to look at :-( |

The fact his second name is henry seems to point to this being the right family ie father was Henry, Was George born after the 1851 census was taken ? |

hi I have been trying to trace my gggrandfather. his name is george henry olive. the only certain thing I have on him is his death in 1927. i have his death certificate but it doesnt give his date of birth, only his age. I traced this back to a birth in the right area in 1851 and sent off for the birth certificate; this give me a father of Henry Olive and a mother of Sarah Olive nee Frost living at 11 Arundell street, Islington. On the 1851 census there is a Henry and Sarah listed at this address with children Sarah and Henry. I cannot find any further trace on the census's before or after until George appears in 1891 with my ggrandmother (who he never married) and their children. I need to prove that this George Olive is my relative but how? any suggestions would be appreciated :-D Julia |
