Find Ancestors

Please can someone help me find the right Richard Kelly married to Susan Chown b1874 and married 1895 in Exeter Devon
1901 census gives age of Richard as 27 so born 1874 I have in North Tawton and parents William and Elizabeth but now I have been told that he was born 1872 South Tawton and parents William and Mary Ann.

I am puzzled.

a tree on ancestry has a Richard John kelly born in North tawton married to Susan Elizabeth Chown, parents William and Elizabeth but there are no source documents

There does only seem to be one Richard Kelly born North Tawton though, as you say parents Richard and Elizabeth. Where have you got the other names from?

Dea, now you have found that the North Tawton Richard was still single in 1901 the other Richard from South Tawton has to be my grandparent.I now know which line to follow.

Please can someone find me any information on William Kelley son of Richard Kelley.
William ( my Uncle) was born 1898 Heavitree Exeter Devon.
He was in the Navy or Merchant Navy and later I remember him living in Barnstaple Devon but I do not know if he married or if there were any children.
His mother was Susan nee Chown and after Richard died she married Walter Aggett.
William is on 1901 and 1911 census.
