Perhaps you can help, trying to find more info on my great grandad Robert Thompson - Horan born in Ireland c1858 father Michael . First found him on the 1881 census in Preston Lancashire, have traced him to his death in 1944 Ambleside Cumbria but can't seem to be able to find anything prior to the 1881 census, presuming he came over just before if not 1881. anyhelp gratefully received. |

Hi Tracey, This may not be a problem to you but I have been stuck for some time on this. I cannot find the parents of David Gill (incorrectly given as Bard Tin in early census) He was born c 1809 in Bedfordshire (I think) and on 1st May 1836 when he married Rebecca Allen b. 1816 he was living in Paddington Mx. Married at St. John the Evangelist Paddington. In 1851 census he was described as a greengrocer. The only child I can find of this marriage is George Thomas Gill. Any info would be great. Regards Vivienne : :-| |
