Hi, The Sharpes are from Peterborough, and the marriage records show Deeping St James (about 10 miles North of Peterborough). I am going round the bend trying to understand the confusion. I've got a copy of the 1871 census, and she is shown as Emily A Popple, 27 Eastgate, Deeping St James. I can only assume that this is Emily Anderson Barnard, as all the info on her from The Family Search website refer to Frederick Popple. |

Does anyone have any information on Emily Barnard please. The only certain details I have are that she was my grandfather's (Herbert William Sharpe) 1st wife and she died in childbirth in 1898. He married Emily Clipston in 1906, which is the union I am descended from. |
