ive only got his brothers death which was about 1970/71 he was 43 when he died... all i know for sure is my mum said he had only two girls and married Dorothy someone posted they thought they had found the marriage in 1944

Going back to the Paynes, your grandfather, Frank, was born about 1927 calculating from your mother's birth, his death, etc. Also he had a sister, Eileen, and his father died when he was about 2 or 3.

I wondered if his father called himself by his 2nd name but if you follow Edward back it doesn't seem he was ever a Richard. Though his father was.
