richard monkhouse born 20 nov 1861 church walk gateshead married elizabeth maddison at st cuthburts gateshead july 13th 1879 elizabeths age is given as 21 and her father joshua maddison occupation appears to be marinner .the witnesses was john paterson and emily paterson . I have searched all over for any clues as to where elizabeth or joshua her father came from to no avail . After elizabeth got married to richard she is on the census 1881 1891 1901 1911 and consistantly gives her birth place as north sheilds .i would really like to know more about elizabeths family and would appreciate any ideas suggestions that anyone can give thankyou .....j |
