Regarding the Schweitzer/Cartmell conundrum - if the father acknowledged the birth and went to register it with the mother, then I believe the child could be registered in the father's name. (But someone will tell me if I'm wrong!!) |

When you recieve the marriage cert, hopefully it will state that his father is George and a Roofer or some such....There is a good chance it may say deceased and no occupation |
