Don't think so Jax. Names I have not heard of I did find out that Grandmas father was deceased. That was Robert Cartmell. Also the company which Grandad worked for which could be interesting. It refered to my Great Grandfather George as a Tiler & Slater (Journeyman)Have you got any idea what journeyman means? |

Someone has said that to me before Dea. I am applying for Grandma and Grandads birth certs at the mo but I am stuck on Grandmas DOB. I have ??/09/1921 should i just guess the date they wont let me proceed otherwise. |

By the way - Journeyman means that he had served his apprenticeship in his trade and was paid by the day (from 'jour' - french) for the work which he did! |

I realised that after Dea thank. I thought the GRO was a seperate number but it was just the volume and page number. |
