Where on the birth cert does the name Whitley appear? I think it might be a good idea to contact the Mile End Registrar's office and ask them to check - it is possible that the original entry was omitted from the GRO index. |

The Boswell/Smith marriage looks correct. Occupation of groom - carman, father deceased. The witnesses were what looks like Huggins. Her father Richard Smith |

It came from the GRO and was queried with them too. I assumed at first they had read the wrong lines, sort of cross referenced. |

If mother is recorded as Mrs Whitley then she won't be Mr Boswell's wife. |
