Sorry for the confusion. If your Nan's mum was Ruby G Gordon, then it is her mother's maiden name that is Carash. I don't see a Gordon / Carash marriage though so perhaps Ruby had been married before?

If Norma was born in London then I think that is the marriage. Have a look on FreeBMD for Gordon / Carash births and you may see a connection to family names!

First you need to register (free)
You need to spend £7 on 30 credits to view the search results. It only uses 1 credit to view the results. You can then click on order the certificate. (sorry I have no creits at the moment to give your the reference that you need to order the cert.

Do you Know her mother's maiden name?

If she was born in Scotland then you need the Scotlandspeople website. Pay to view but if you do find her there you need to order her birth certificate as births after 1910 are not available to view online.

Scottish birth certificates give the date and place of the parent's marriage.

EDIT

Her birth in 1942 seems to be indexed on SP website.

Getting a hit on Scotlandspeople for Enie Forder name in 1942

BUT you can not view online Scottish births within the last 100 years

But SP would give the details needed to order the cert

You need credits to view any search results

Hi i have been strugling to find any record of nan, i have been searching records for over an hour, the information i have is that she was born in May 1942, she had a sister called Norma who was younger than her. She married my Grandad Derek Tyler in 1962 shows up on Marriages registered in April,May,June 1962, this is the first record of her, i am trying to find out more about her family as we do not know nothing, the only thing we have been told is she could be born in Scotland no one knows if this is true. I would really aperciate anyone helps or pointers to where details are so i get copies of them

Many Thanks

Lucy
