Sorry for the confusion. If your Nan's mum was Ruby G Gordon, then it is her mother's maiden name that is Carash. I don't see a Gordon / Carash marriage though so perhaps Ruby had been married before? |

I just checked Norma and her mums maiden name was Gordon, where does the Carash come into a bit confused, if her maiden mae was Gordon then she married John and her birth certficate said Carash? PLease help i knew this side of my family was going to be hard lots of skeltons! |

If Norma was born in London then I think that is the marriage. Have a look on FreeBMD for Gordon / Carash births and you may see a connection to family names! |

That could be there marriage my mum ust found out that my nans dad was called john and the dates fit as well i will check this out from the birth certificate i will see if i can find my nans sister normas records that may bring up her mum and dads name she was born n london |

Than you for the wesite but i ant seem to navigate it to purchase the birth ctificate, i know this sounds so stupid but where on the site do you need to go, so sorry for sounding stupid i am new to this just want to get every birth certificate from myself up making sure i am following the right family |

If she was born in Scotland then you need the Scotlandspeople website. Pay to view but if you do find her there you need to order her birth certificate as births after 1910 are not available to view online. |

Hi i have been strugling to find any record of nan, i have been searching records for over an hour, the information i have is that she was born in May 1942, she had a sister called Norma who was younger than her. She married my Grandad Derek Tyler in 1962 shows up on Marriages registered in April,May,June 1962, this is the first record of her, i am trying to find out more about her family as we do not know nothing, the only thing we have been told is she could be born in Scotland no one knows if this is true. I would really aperciate anyone helps or pointers to where details are so i get copies of them |
