Researching Irish families that emigrated from Cork Ireland to Port Jackson (Sydney) on the “Thames” arriving 11 April 1826. The emigrants comprising wives and children were granted free passage to join their husband/father who had previously been transported.
Convict Laughlin CARNEY transported on “Mangles (2)” 1822. Wife Mary and child Mary from county Mayo arrived on the “Thames”. I am researching all the families that emigrated on the “Thames” and would like to make contact with any relatives of the CARNEY family.
