Find Ancestors

There's a partial address under when and where born it says First October 1906 Woodhouse (S)and Sutton in Ashfield (U).D.

I've put the S in brackets because I'm not convinced it's an S it looks more likely to be a Y and the n an r so it becomes Woodhouse Yard. I can't find any reference to a Woodhouse Land, Woodhouse Sand, Woodhouse Yard or similar associated with Sutton in Ashfield.

Under section 7 the address is the same for the mother but the script is identical and so still as ambiguous as the above.

I've put the U in brackets because it could be an n but U is more likely although I don't know what the initials U.D. could stand for in an address.

I have more information now from Albert's birth certificate and would like to order the marriage certificate for his parents but want to make sure I order the right one.

So, Albert Swann was born 1st October 1906. His father's name was Ernest Swann and his mother's name was Eliza Walters.

I have found a reference to marriage for Ernest 7B 313 and want to know if that's the right one to order. However, I cannot find a corresponding record for Eliza Walters that matches the above record number.

Can anyone shed any light?

There are 3 possible families on 1901 census. Ernest and Eliza/Elizabeth Swan(n).

I think your best option is to order a copy of Albert's birth cert to make sure you trace the correct family
