William Mathew Quary. born Wilhelm Mathius in a small village on the france germany border Alsace province that is constantly being disputed between France and Germany causing many refugees from the disputes. Was in the French Foriegn Legion from a young age and transferred on loan to British Army in Lancashire during ww2 as an interpreter at P.O.W.Camp. Has a brother Alexander or Peter who died aged 18, and sisters, Josette and Ninnie, Josette was dressmaker to Royal family in Luxemburg and her sister Ninnie lived in her large house with her lost contact with them 1965ish.. Worked at Vickers Barrow in Furness as Electrician / Foreman. William died in 1992 in OGWR (Bridgend) Nr Cardiff after working at Vickers since after the war. I would be gratefull for anything you can turn up. Thanks. Victoria
