There does not appear to be a Claude or Eric Witty on the 1911 census.
There is a Claude and Eric Witt.........but the mother name is Ethel Jane ????

Oh wow - not bad for the son of farm labourers I suppose. This leaves a lot of questions.
I understand from the will that 'Effects' are the value of property and items left by Featherstone. Is this correct? And what does resworn mean?

Hi Glitter Baby, no I don't ... Featherstone, or Peter Featherstone Witty, as was his real name, was the daughter of Hannah Featherstone. She is a ggggg aunt of mine. I would love to see more of his will.
He apparently became a Tory Councillor (which does not resonate with my very left political beleifs), and an Alderman of Bristol and a JP. A portrait was commissioned of him by the Ratepayers association in 1913 under Bristol Council.

Oh wow! Thank you for this.
Featherstone Witty was actually the son of parents who seemed to have met whilst working as farm servants together. I am not sure how he managed to acheive the wealth he did, especially as he was orphaned in 1861. Amazing really. Also, his daughters seem to have enjoyed fairly affluent, middle class lifestyles.
For the 1911, can I also ask for a look-up for Emily Jane (Emma) Featherstone Witty. She was born c. 1883 and I don't know her date or place of birth. But she had two sons ...
Claude Featherstone Witty born 1907 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire Eric Featherstone Witty born 1909 in Fulham, London, Middlessex

Hi there, I am looking for four look-ups for the 1911 census which concern three sisters and their father.
Peter Featherstone Witty (or Feathertone Witty) was he seemed to have used. He was born c. 1851 in Hull, East Yorkshire. Probably living in Bristol by 1911.
His daughter, Gertrude Alice Cook, wife of Alfred Cook, born c. 1870 in York, Yorkshire.
His daughter, Ada Hannah Perret, wife of Arthur Perret, born c. 1871 in York, Yorkshire.
His daughter, Alice Ethel St John Lloyd, wife of Albert E Lloyd (married in Florida in 1910 but child born in Bristol in 1912).
I am also looking for a death for Gertrude and Alice in case anyone can help there.
Thank you,
Peter
