Hi Penny yes her first husband was Thomas Spafford that was my Grandfather.

You really need her first marriage cert - that will name her father . If the info matches with the census , then you are probably away, if not you are back on the start grid.

Please substantiate info as you go, you'll follow the wrong trail otherwise

Did she marry a MR Stafford or a MR Spafford?
