Jane Ann's husband remains a mystery, as they married in Birkenhead (civil marriage) Thomas may have been born there (found record 1860)

Can't see him in 1891 but as he's a seaman he may have been away.

Coming back to Jane Ann Atkinson and Margaret Coatsworth 1891 census:

Where are their husbands? Both married, I presume Jane lived there and Margaret was visiting.
They probably didn't have children by then either

I've submitted a correction to Ancestry, I've called it an "alternative". It will help others looking for the same family.

A pleasure. In case you're wondering how I found it, I picked the most unusual child - Isabella - input her name, date and place of birth, father and mother's names and pressed GO. No surname.

I had another look, there were 3 Margarets born abt. 1864

The original does look like Haming, but Andrew is a tailor.
