Audrey J Ireland was my great grandmother. i remember her very vaguely. i was about 8 or 9 when she died.

Laura you say Willie was in fact William However he was reg at birth as Willie and married as Willie. its only the informant on his death cert who has registered him as William. Maybe he didnt like to be known as Willie so was known as William BUT his birth name WAS Willie . I posted his birth and marriage on page 1 !!

Theers no record of a Willie/William Ireland on the CWGC site as a WW2 casualty. he seems to have died in Weston Super Mare the same as Victoria :-(

How can Audrey have married in 1931 if she was born in 1924 ??
Think you may have got something wrong somewhere. If so all the records posted for willie Ireland etc don't make sense ??? :-( :-(

victoria and willie are the wrong ppl. my grandad cant remember her name being victoria. he said it was a short name. im going to ask his sister when i visit in a couple of weeks. thanks everyone for your help
