I read it as...........looking for the Father of Thomas born 1846.
Who, according to the marriage details..........is Richard Payne.

I have my husbands grandfather Thomas Ongley born in1884, ........
his father g grandfather Thomas Ongley born in 1846 in Tonbridge wells, ...............but I can't find his father

As you can see from the marriage details that Margee posted, it states his father is Richard Payne!!

Perhaps someone can come up with an idea as to the connection between Thomas Ongley and Richard Payne???
