Hello everyone

According to Findmypast no William James Allen registered in Edmonton, Middlesex between 1872-74. There was, however, a James William:

EDMONTON 1872 Jun qr Vol 3a pg 202

I also checked William Allen - nothing in Edmonton. I wonder if this is how Canada crept in....

i dont think that him because his dad was called john allen yeah that might be where canada came from but not too sure

Rebecca, I'm not suggesting that Joseph Hartley was his father...for whatever reason this William was away from his parents, perhaps he was an orphan and boarded out by the parish.

I've found another possibilty in 1881 but he, too, was not with his parents:
12 Stanley Grove, Tottenham
George Allen marr 55yrs Gardener b Bayford, Middlesex (actually it's Herts)
Mary A Allen wife 58yrs b Bayford, Middlesex
William Allen grandson 9yrs b Tottenham

BUT, I've tracked George and Mary back to 1861 and they did not have a son called John living with them.

well if i found out who john married he would have his dad name on the cery but i cant find a john allen im not sure what william mum is called either as there married would be before 1910 can any one help me find william cert i was also told that william was married 3 times when he married emma moss he was 39 and a widower and when emma moss died he married agian if anyone can help me find his 1st and last married his birth and his death i would appreacate it on his cenus form for 1911 he said totthem he was born about 1885ish

can someone please help me find a cenus form for william allen born about 1871 and his father name is john allen but he died before 1910 please im realli stuck x
