Spend £7.50 and buy 30 credits for Scotlandspeople and you can check out these births and see if any of these were born on the correct July date (even if the year is out, it may be your John. |

Amy....It may be worthwhile asking someone..(unless you have access yourself) to search Army Records from WW1 they are on Ancestry I believe...however they are incomplete.... |

Hi Amy, It is most unlikely that you will find a birth cert as the Custom House in Dublin where all records were stored was burned down in the 1900's with the loss of the majority of the paperwork due to fire and water damage. However if you have narrowed it down through the census records and know the area's it is relatively easy to access the church records for those areas. Doyle was predominantly Cork/Tipperary name so it might be a good idea to start with those counties. Did they give parents names/ occupations on marriage cert? If there was any other bit of information, no matter how small, it makes it easier to track at this side of the water. Good luck with your search. |
