So it definitely ties up. I know that John Humphrey was a Chaser - apparently it means a decorative metal beater! |

Alfred was away at sea when the 1861 census was taken so I'd expect to find Elizabeth on her own or with family. The marriage to Marian must be my Alfred, the father's name is too unusual. Is there any extra informaion given on that marriage entry. I wonder when she died then? |

Alfred's father is meant to be John Humphrey Munt and I knew he died in 1832, but I didn't know about John Collins. Thank you for the address, I haven't been able to find Elizabeth on the 1861 census, and that might help track her down. Does it give Alfred's profession - I believe he was a marine engineer. |

Oh really! That is very interesting! Can you find ALfred marrying anyone else in the years before? He was born 1828 so it would be around 1846 onwards. |

So it would look like Collins was her maiden name. Thank you! |

Please could someone look at Ancestry for a marriage in London for me. It's Alfred Thomas Munt and Elizabeth Ann Collins in 1860. I would like to know what info is in the parish registers as I believe that Collins might not be her maiden name, and that she might have been previously married sometime between 1848 and 1860 to a Collins. |
