At a guess, I would say your Martha is the 1870 baptism. That fits with her most consistent age, and she's recorded as being born in Nantwich itself.

Oh wow, I have never seen the 1824 baptism!
Thank you for checking for me. I did a search of the family using the batch index sometime ago. Nothing like human error (although at which end of the process this was made, I am not sure). Maybe I just missed her or perhaps more records were added later.
Now, my research shows that William Peers died about 12 Sep. 1823 in Nantwich and he was 49, so perhaps this is why there was some difficulty with the baptism?

Hi Ozibird, yeah I had thought Sarah could be a widow but I don't know.
The birth dates of the children are baptism dates.
Also, these baptisms are taken for Cheshire on the IGI on a search from 1760-1800:
2. MARTHA MINSHULL - International Genealogical Index Gender: Female Christening: 17 NOV 1780 Nantwich, Cheshire, England 3. MARTHA MINSHULL - International Genealogical Index Gender: Female Christening: 28 JAN 1781 Saint Chad,Over, , Cheshire, England 4. MARTHA MINSHALL - International Genealogical Index Gender: Female Christening: 08 AUG 1784 Whitegate, Cheshire, England
There are another two ... one in 1766 and one in 1798. The one in Nantwich seems probable but as the other two are in the local area I am cautious to say the baptism in 1780 is definitley the one related to me.

Perhaps Sarah was a widow of one of the sons when she gave birth to Edward.
Are those dates for the children birth dates or baptism?

1841 England Census Name: Timothy Pears Age: 70 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1771 Gender: Male Where born: Cheshire, England Civil parish: Nantwich Hundred: Nantwich County/Island: Cheshire Country: England Street Address: Love Lane
Occupation: Tailor
Registration district: Nantwich Sub-registration district: Nantwich Piece: 117 Book: 2 Folio: 14 Page Number: 22 Household Members: Name Age Timothy Pears 70
Brother-in-law to Martha do you think? A relative by marriage anyway.
Don't get too caught up on ages. They are not very accurate, and in 1841 ages were usually rounded down to the nearest 5 years for those over 15.

Hmmm, maybe the just were not very good at remembering birth days. You will noticed Timothy Peers seems to have died in 1849 but the age is not 'correct'.
Also, how have I missed Sarah Peers?

Definitely your family I would say with both Timothy and Abraham. Also only Martha Peers of that age in Nantwich registration district.
I've edited the censuses so that they are in chronological order in the same post.

This looks like Edward Peers' baptism:
Edward Peers
England, Cheshire Parish Registers, 1538-2000 residence: 14 Feb 1849 —, Nantwich, Cheshire, England parents: /, Sarah Peers record title: England, Cheshire Parish Registers, 1538-2000 name: Edward Peers event: Christening event date: 14 Feb 1849 event place: Nantwich, Cheshire, England gender: Male mother: Sarah Peers digital folder number: 4018984
BUT, I don't have a Sarah Peers in my tree. All of the children I have for William and Martha Peers are:
Elizabeth Peers (my ancestor, b. 1806) Ann Peers b. 1809 Timothy Peers b. 1811 William Peers b. 1812 John Peers 1815-1815 Abraham Peers 1816-1893 Mary Peers b. 1818 John Peers b. 1821
What do people think?

Thanks Ozibird. I do knw that Martha had a son named Ambraham baptised in Nantwich on 18th January 1816, so do you think this is the same family?
The ages do not quite match up.

Hi there,
I beleive I may have found my ancestor Martha Peers. I suspect she is the same Martha Peers who is buried in Nantwich, Cheshire on 31 May 1866. She was 83. From this age she was born c. 1783.
Can anyone spot her in the census please in 1841, 1851 and 1861.
I don't know much about her family so all info is much appreciated.
Her maiden name was Minshal and she married William Peers on 21st Sep. 1806 in Nantwich, three months before my ancestor, their daugher Elizabeth Peers was baptised on 8th Dec. 1806. I have her children's baptisms but nothing else.
Thanks,
Peter
