I think it would be worth having Robert's marriage certificate for sure. Recent (in generational terms!) certificates are always a good idea because they can save you from riding madly off in wrong directions right at the start. |

My tree I have a George Whybrow Chignell born out of wedlock and there was a George Whybrow in the village who married someone else!! So perhaps Roberts father was Henry Gaunt???? |

Debi it may give you details of the fathers but I expect it will just say for Robert that his father is deceased. |

Also, Hannah's parents were Samuel Barraclough and Martha Barraclough nee Ramsbottom Wood...another one with a surname as a middle name... :S |
