I don't think it's fair to say that Glenda got mixed up. This is the actual marriage record that she's working from. (it's not submitted). It's just curious that we can't find any record of the family in Canada.

Yes Ginny you have the correct family , also Arthur may have been in the canadian or US army during the first world war , Glenda

I had looked for his attestation papers for the Canadian army, can't find him under Halloway or Holloway.

It's very suspicious that there's absolutely no record of him or his parents in Canada. Do you suppose he changed his name for some reason?

Thank you Margee for looking ,may be he did change his name ,perhaps I i will never find out any more about him , I was curious , as I looked for Louisa for many years all I knew was she lived in america , so when I found her marriage I wanted to try and find out more about Arthur , I was lucky enough to find them on the census. so I suppose I have found out a little . glenda
