Just having a nose around the boards - save a wait until Wendy can get to the library
- any chance this could be they, not yet married, but Emma is from Devon and he is using Walter ?? 1911 England, Wales & Scotland Census Transcription Middle Lane Chilwell Nottinghamshire, Chilwell, Derbyshire, England

Hi Wendy.....I badly need you help again..grovel grovel........
At your leisure could you possibly find the following.........JAMES WALTER KING..living with his second wife EMMA on the 1911 Census in Chilwell...........I am trying to help an elderly lady who has given me this information..and I can't get past first base because she may have given me the wrong info...........she is looking for a possible link to Braunton in Devon. If you can find this couple in Nottingham I'd be very grateful, and can obviously take it from there....
Many thanks as always.
Derek.

Hi Lorraine,
Sorry to have taken so long to get back to you. Haven't found anything on grave numbers for Cotgrave.

Hi Wendy I've now heard back from the family and they say that George Smith lived their whole married life in Basford so I don't know f that narrows it down enough. Thanks Yvonne

Thanks Wendy. I've emailed a family member to see if they can narrow it down a bit more. If they come up with anything useful I'll get back to you.
Thanks.

Hi Yvonne,
1919 is hard to do as not all church's have handed their records into then archives and there is a lot of church's in Nottingham.. Do you have any idea of where abt's in Nottingham they would have been living to narrow down which churches they could have married at. Or they married in the register office in which case you would have to buy the certificate.

Yes my disc has Cotgrave buirals from 1651 to Jan 1901, ( I'm doing a family from Cotgrave too.
Sorry don't know when the archives will be open again been told sometime in the Spring but don't count on it. I have started going into the Central Library in Nottingham and they have church records too so can do a look up there for you.
