Hi Claire,

I've started to look for your marriage not at St John's Bulwell and the archives don't have St Mary's after 1900. Lots of Nottingham Church to go though so will take a while.

Hi Claire,

Its a bit harder to do after 1900 as not all parish records after that date are at the archives for example St Mary's Bulwell only go upto 1900 at the archives but St John's Bulwell go up to about 1950 but I will do my best for you.

Hi Wendy

Would it be poss for you to check for a marrriage for me please ( do you get info like fathers details from the achives?)

I have a CYRIL JOHN WALTER WOODWARD born either 1903 (from family and grave) or 1905 (from ancestry birth records)

He married MILDRED IVY FARROW in 1930 nottingham

i am trying to trace further back for Cyril, so need details from his marriage cert, was going to order it but if you can get the details from achives, i can save a bit of money (well order a different cert lol)

I know his fathers nane was ARTHUR and mother MATILDA
but need a address or occupation for father

i have Cyril in 2 poss census in 1911
1 in mansfield and 1 in bulwell, and need to confirm i have the right family before i work back

Thanks Claire

Elaine,

I've had a look at Langold and Blyth Churchs for you and could not find anything on Freds and Marys Children.

Aha! But you're keeping me in suspense!

Will you stick the Robert/Sarah info in my Reuben thread?

My suspicion has been that Reuben was Sarah's son with a different father, before or after her union with Robert, so those dates will help!

Many many thanks.

Hi Janey,

thanks I will that.

Now to your Reuben, I've been to the archives today and been though the christenings records for Calverton but could not find him I went though it about 4 times in case I missed it but he's not there. I found Robert'sand Sarah's marriage and christenings for their other children but not Reuben. When I next go back I'm going top look in the near by villages in case they moved for a few years. I'm not giving up yet.

Hi Wendy -- I just suggested somebody look at this thread, but to avoid duplication maybe best if you look at hers like you did with mine for Reuben:

Hi Elaine,

Sorry only just seen your message my head notwith it today have toothache and been to dentist this afternoon. Hope you back gets better soon.

I think you need to get Mary's and Fred marriage certificate to see who her father was and then you should be able to match them up on the census.
