I have looked at the 1881 image and I would say that your Marget is really 'Mary J' i.e. Mary Jane.. |

Thank you very much Dea. Yes Jane died and Joseph remarried within the year if my research is correct. Thanks also for the babtism info. I did have George's so it shouldn't be too hard to match up the rest of the dates with the family I have so far. |

Looks like Jane died and Joseph remarried, if this is him on 1911 Census: |

Thank you very much Susan. I am pretty sure this is him. His occupation for much of his early years was cotton weaver. I had estimated his death to be around 1913, so will follow that up too. You have been such a great help. :) |

Hi Susan, It could very well be him. The age and spouse are right, as are the children, with the exception of Mary, however given how people changed first and second names all the time back then, I think you have found him. |

I am working backwards. Trying to find Joseph's birth and any other info. I have him on the census' for 1881,1891,1901. But can't find him or any children in 1871. He was married to Ann Jane Blake (later known as Jane) and in 1881 had the following children: |
