Margaret Donough married Timothy Guiney in 1942; he died in 1948. She married John Fitzgerald in 1953.

I don't see a death for a Thomas M*gh or Donough in Salford to fit.

We do have Mary Quigley Byrne's mother's name - rootgatherer matched up the marriage records:

Christopher Quigley + Margaret O'Brien 1909

But there isn't a Margaret Quigley death in 1910 when Mary would have been born -- Jul-Sep quarter if I found the right birth for Mary up above.

Now, looking for the children of Patrick and Mary (Quigley) Byrne in Salford ... trying for the more uncommon names ...

Pauline married in 1966 in Salford. There's a quirk with her husband's surname. They have four children.

The likely marriage for Catherine is in 1965 in Salford. (Your opening post is confusing -- Catherine A born 1947, Catherine A died 1945.) They seem to have 3 children. Unfortunately I think she is deceased.

i found the same christopher quigley marriage to magaret obrien but that doesnt match to what my grandad rembers about his nan (marys mum) dieing when she had mary and also the uncle tommy mcdonaugh....

i do think i will have to await the marriage certificate for mary and patrick to confirm the parents...

Finaly recieved the marriage certificate this morning so just thought i would just let u all no that
Patrick Byrne married Mary Quigley on the 13th Feb 1927 at St micheals Dublin
It shows that Parick Byrnes Father was also called Patrick Byrne (labour)
and marys father as Christopher Quigley (labour)
It also gives both fathers address as Patrick 40 kehoe square, and christopher as 109 kehoe square but thats as much info as it shows so looks like i might have to investigate liams link with 73 Pill Lane and christopher Quigley

Kelly, have you tried to contact the GR member who has the probable children of Catherine and Pauline in their family trees??

Kelly, I would send for the marriage certificate for Christopher and Margaret O'Brien to get her father's name. We don't know if she was single or widowed when she married Christopher as she already had a child. The 1911 gives her birthplace as England so we may be able to trace her on the census records.

I applied for christopher quigleys birth certificate, from that ive got his parents William Quigley and Mary Quigley (Coleman)

and ive got There fathers Charles Quigley and James Coleman.


Ive Just Applied for Mary Byrnes (Quigley) birth certificate and hopefully i should get her mothers name from that certificate, as my gdad is 100% positive he didnt remarry.

marys mother is margaret quigley (obrien)
marys father is christopher quigley

but now trying to find margaret obrien and her other child maggie obrien if anyone can help with tracing her?

Kelly, why not inquire of the Irish site where you got the birth certificates??

Glad to see that everything has gone according to prediction so far!

when i showed my grandad the birth certificate of his mum mary quigley (byrne) he was rather shocked to see that about his mum, he didnt have a clue.

And after some more searching onthe net i think ive found his mums death in 1912 right after giving birth to a male, so i think thats where the confusion has come from.

But when i finally track down the marriage certificate and get the name of margaret obriens father and a bit more info on her i will then be able to trace her as she was born in england

And hopefully find the relatives of margarets other child maggie obrien and try and find out what happened to her as she was mary quigleys sister

really enjoying this now just wish some things were much more easier to track down lol
