Mystifyied by that 1891 census so spent some spare credits to look at it. They are all different households at the same address on the image (only looked at the Graham page) and the men given the relationship Housemaid are actually Heads of household. |

I can't get onto Familysearch either, it's been out of order on and off for a few days. |

Mary would have been born before birth registration started in Ireland. familysearch has some Irish baptisms and marriages but the site doesn't seem to be working at the moment. |

Sandra, I'm sorry, I'm not having a go at you, just mentioning that it struck a chord. |

Alviegal, that 1891 census certainly does have a lot of names for one address - over 60! And a lot of the men have the relationship housemaid! |

I knew the names on this sounded familiar Sandra, especially 71 Vennel Street. We've been through this before with the Graham family back in 2008. |

This is the closest I'm finding for Thomas and Mary Jane. Birth certificates for the children would be the next step. |

Here's the on BJ found in 1871. A submitted record on IGI has her parents as John Kirkwood and Jeanie Barclay. |

Sandra, how did you (or your daughter) get back to Mary Jane? So you have info on any children? If we can find her on the census after her marriage, it will help to trace her back. |
