No happy bunny the funeral has to be the same day
As a lot of children died before their 5th birthday and parents couldn't afford a funeral the baby/child went in with an adult that was being burried at that time which is why sometimes it's hard to find a record of where the baby/child is burried it was never put on the headstone

My gfather gmother thier daughter are all in the same grave as when it was purchased the first one went in deep enough so it would take all 3 as thier daughter was unmarried I have to have the deeds changed over to me so my mother's ashes can go in when the time comes

i had to have the grave deeds transfered to me.my dad bought the grave plot for my brother to be buried then my dad was buried in it in 2000
my mum died 2001 .the undertaker could not get permission to have the grave opened as my dad had not transfered the deeds to my mum.
the council wanted to see the grave deeds but they could not be found
so i had to go to a solicitor with my siblings and they had to state in front of her i could have the grave.
this lasts for two years then it has to be done again.
they are very frightened in case in the future somebody comes along with a claim.
it sounds worse than it is the proplem would occur if more than one person wanted to own the grave hence siblings signing it to me giving their claim to it up.

Sorry, have I missed some details her. Mary Corbridge died in Norwich in 1997, age 100, and are you saying she was buried in Cheshire?

Where in Cheshire was she buried?

I've not heard of graves being that big Valerie!

Can you give us some details about Mary, e.g. where her parents were from, born, married, died. It might give some clues.

yes she died in norwich her cremated remains were buried in cheshire
in Warrington cemetery .
her parents were from father born Aldershot mother born Warrington
both lived with Mary in Tooting London on 1911 census .
her father was a school master in thar area
she had a brother Robert died in ww1 aged 20 and a sister Alice no idea about her
i am puzzled eg what is the draw to Warrington apart from the fact she was born here.
in those days pre NHS women used to go home to their mothers to give birth .
she was married in Wandsworth .no idea where her hubby was born but obviously somebody arranged for her remains to be transfered from Norwich to Warrington
as the time is not very long ago i was hoping there were some relatives still in Warrington but i think to try to find out about that is nearly impossible
