Is their a marriage for Henry James Smith or Henry Walter Herbert Smith to Eliza? This is to confirm the 1901 Census where he is living with Eliza and 2 children, I am debating this still.

Have looked, with no success. But I just wondered if there is one on ancestry.com like his marriage to Eva in 1901?

Afraid I can't see anything that matches.

That isn't our Henry Smith anyway because Henry W H died in Gloucester C. , a long time after my father-in-law died and in a totally wrong place! Our Henry died in Exmouth in 1939.

I decided to look through the birth records again and I put in a search for:

I have found a birth in Pancras A-M-J 1872. I think this could be his birth. Just before I order the birth certificate I was wondering if there are any corresponding baptism records on ancestry.co.uk?? I have been looking but I cannot get very far because I am not a member.

I was also looking at what his mother could possibly be called. I noticed that his first born daughter was called Eva Alice. His mother-in-law went by the name Eva and I know that people name their first born child after the couples' mothers or fathers (depending on whether they have a boy or girl). So could his mother be called Alice ?

I don't know Henry's mother's name. I was interested in whether their is a baptism record in (or around) Pancras.
All I know is that his father was Walter Smith a silversmith. (This is confirmed on Henry's marriage certificate, in 1901 Walter is deceased.)

I have a feeling his mother is called Alice because Henry's first daughter was called Eva Alice. (His wife's mother was known as Eva.)

I've had a look and I cannot see a baptism that tallies with the father being a silversmith, sorry

oh :( I will have to keep looking and maybe order the birth certificate.

It would be helpful if you copy out the exact wording on the birth cert please.
