	I've added to this thread and watched it develop, I really think that you have to consider that the 1901 census with Elizabeth and the 2 children maybe him. Why would 1 person put down 2 names on their sons birth certificate...... because he used both names, why I can't answer....... but as a guess he was registered under 1 name and chose to use another. This very often means that he didn't want to be found because of something in his past! Henry Walter Herbert Smith is a Silversmith in 1901. His baptism states his father was Walter as does the marriage certificate for Henry James Smith. I think I would order another birth certificate for one of his children and see what that states. If he can be found with the wife he supposedly has, Eliza and their kids, Emma and Henry, then he probably wouldn't have been bigamestly married to Eva Ferris. Many Thanks Gardener47

I was looking at a trancript that said that an ancestor of mine (Eva Ferris) was living next door to Thomas Smith but I don't know who lived with Thomas. I am hoping someone named Henry will be living with him but I am interested in any Smith's living with him."
