Can anyone find 40 crossland road on th 1901 census? i can't seem to.

I can't find Crossland Road in 1891, 1901 or 1911..... but little Eva was baptsed from that address in 1902.

40 Crossland Rd again given................ the first "s" could be a "f" though..... so maybe try Crofsland, Croftland??

Ah right so possibly Croftland Road, then? Does anybody have a census record for that ?

Checked that, nothing turning up!

Been looking again since you nudged the thread and still can't find anything!!

I was looking on the map and saw Adelaide Road, where Eva lived. Right near it was Greencroft Gradens, could this be Henry's address??!!
Can anyone help with a 1891 or 1901 census of this address?

I thought they had found it 1901,isn't that it with frederick walker born 1849 living there.

yes but apparently Henry Smith should be living there

People sometimes just gave other peoples address's so they could marry in that area. When I got married we gave a different address so we could marry in a nice register office rather than a modern town hall

The 1901 census was taken on 31 March

The marriage was on May 12th 1901, maybe he/ they moved to Crogsland Road after the census

Just been on 1911,there were four different families living there.
3 families had 2 rooms each and the other family 3 rooms.

It is classed as a tenement House.
