You really need to give us some years of birth and places for Charles Brooks and Rachael as I still can't find anything you are talking about without these details.

Ann we could have done with the info about their mother before. It would have saved us a lot of time and effort.
I put up a death of a child born in 1874 the same year as Ginny found a death of a Frances Noyes. I wondered if it was in childbirth.
I was also wondering if the two sisters married two brothers.
What year was their mother Rachael born and where. I can't find her on a census. Also what were the other childrens names. We can't see what info you have unless you tell us so we are working blind as it were.

Thank you all very much for looking for the two Jenkins men & their wives Eunice & Frances Noyes, it is all very strange! I don’t know where else to look for them.
Ginny Yes, Frances with Hepzibah Beale, This her aunt, her mother sister, You said “Frances went back to being a Noyes … after her marriage to James?” it has been known before, I don’t know how I could check it out?
Mel the this Baptisms you found could be him ”James Jenkins James Jenkins abt 1853 John Henry Jenkins MARINER”
I haven’t census where all the sisters were together, in the 1851 two were at home with their mother & father under the name of REEVES not Noyes,[ I have prove proof of this] the others [there were 4] were with relations & the same in 1861, I haven’t found Noyes girls in the in1871 they were not at home with there mother Rachel & step- father Charles BROOKS . So if Frances Noyes married John Henry's brother James I wonder if they went to Bermuda???
Also in years gone by a Mariner would take his family with him on a voyage.

Hi Ann,
I had a look at your thread this morning and could'nt find the info. I did notice that on the marriage of Eunice to John Jenkins that he was much much older than her. He was 45 and she 18.
Have you found any census where the two sisters were together? or with their parents in oxfordshire?
Also the John Henry Jenkins that Ginny found could have married Frances Summers.
If Eunice was married in 1865 and the 1881 census has her with a child of 6 years old, you don't expect them to have waited all those years before having a baby.
Mel

Ginny. Thank you very muchfor your help I am confused, with both the Jenkins men; the one you found was John! James William Jenkins was the 'Gentleman' so called, [“Gentleman' was used on his marriage and he was no such thing!” I agree with you there] so I don’t think that is him? Unless he used the name John ------------- The John Henry Jenkins Widower Age: 45 Rigger, who married Eunice , this is the only one I found, every thing fits ,even children’s names , apart from his AGE & trade, he could have changed his job
John JENKINS Head M Male 29 London, Middlesex, Lab Stone Trimmer Eunice JENKINS Wife M Female 30 Oxford, Oxford, ** John JENKINS Son Male 6 Erith Ex, Kent, Harriett JENKINS Dau Female 8 Hammersmith, Middlesex, Eunice E.JENKINS Dau Female 10 Hackney, Middlesex, William JENKINS Son Male 4 Hackney, Middlesex, Rachel JENKINS Dau Female 2 London, Middlesex,
Dwelling 34 Benn St (Fr Pg 59 13 Benn St) Census Place London, Middlesex, RG11 Piece / Folio 0310 / 72A Pg 64
could there have a mistake on his age on the census ? Ann
