On the 1911 George has a Daughter Louisa aged 24 years. Could it be possible that George was not actually free to marry Alice as he was still married to his first wife and so George and Alice just "claimed" to be married.
If it were me, I would be looking more closely at the marriage of Geroge Harding and Jane Eliza Jeffries. I think that there is a good chance that the Louisa with Jane on the 1891 census is the same Louisa that is with George in 1911. I suspect that Jane and her husband possibly just went their seperate ways and that she wasn't actually widowed in 1891.

Well, now that we have sorted out that the mother was not Lavinia, I keep going back to this marriage but it doesn't really make sense when she should be 'White' ?

Clafification
On the 1911 Cenus Harolds mother is Alice Harding aged 30 Harolds birth certificate shows the mother as Alice Louisa Harding frormelry White
Same name on both birth and census without her middle name.
same for Harolds father George.
I could only find one Harold Henry Harding on free bmd which is the certificate I have/ The 1911 census matches the area.
Possible birt h for George found on free bmd
Harding George John Dorchester 5a 329
I would have thought that George was married befor because of the age different and the fact the daughter Louisa is 24 and the mother Alice 30.
I have had no luck in finding a marriage with help also thanks.
Are my findings wrong or incorrect?

PH
that's what I first noticed ... the diffeerence between mother;s name from birth certificate, and the name on the census
Explanations???
1. George had married yet again
2. We have 2 different George's

Sorry I am back took longer than I thought to collect parcel. Got lost and stuck in traffic/
Mother is Alice Louisa
Making the year they married about 1901
I can only find a marriage for 1901 to a Barrup for a Harding.
I believe I have the right certs and cenus as the George is a green grocer on all three.

Phew! Back again. I have not figured it out yet, but there is something not quite right about all this
Birth Cert Harold Henry Harding born 17 Dec 1906 96 Stewart Road, Christcurch, Bournemouth.
Father Geore John, Greengrocer Master. Mother Lavinia Harding formerly White.
On the 1911 census you found.........it states that George John Harding has been married to Alice for 10 yrs!!
Which means it cant be the same George can it ?? Hmmmm!!
