Mary not sure if this is the correct William as in the 1901 census his age if 62 giving a birth date of 1840 but will try anyway, as the years I know are not always accurate |

Paula - I completely agree about the difficulty with "Watsons" - especially illegitimate ones, having somewhat more than a handful of them in my tree!! It is a fairly common surname but sometimes the saving grace is that the illegitimate ones have a surname as a middle name and it is often the surname of the un-named father - well here in Scotland anyway! |

One of the people with a tree on here with William Joshua Watson born between 1866/7/8 Liverpool Ship steward also has a Phyllis Margaret Watson born Aberdeen 1918 married in Southampton 1945. |
