sympathies as i was mugged this week and have a fractured shoulder and i am black and blue all over as i was dragged along the ground.

I wonder if Ada belong to one of them this is the first time i have seen the familys living in the same street,thank you
Ihave to get off now as i have crumbling bones in my spine which gives me alot of pain cant sit for long
But will be back on tomorrow or later on if i cant sleep to reply

Thats ok lancashireAnn they did name her after her sister i have all the birth certs of all the children,i found all my mum fathers side its her mum im having the trouble with as you can see why did,nt they stay in one place

in fact are you sure you mum was born in 1908

this 1901 that was posted on page 1 would fit with the names

what does it say on her birth cert. please

I assume you got her father's name (Samuel) and occ from her marriage cert

still not sure why you think Ada came from Lincolnshire other than it was a common name there.

Samuels father was named Samuel and he was railway porter
the address on the cert is
92 Olivia street Bootle ,it was the same address for Ada as well

I've looked on 1901 for John Bass*, Licensed Victualler, with no results

I can't see Ada in 1891...anywhere

Ada's was John, a licenced victually - have you tried trade directories?

What was their address when they married

I can't find either of them in 1881 & wonder if maybe the area where they were living has been lost

i have tried looking for marriages for female bassendale father john but not found anything


this ada is born at the right time in bolton
