was that 1871 census only a guess as I seem to remember you said somewhere that you did not actually know the names of Ada's sisters? I think it was a guess that Ada grandaughter of William was yours but your Ada says she was born Manchester in the census records with Samuel. |

On my mums birth cert it has only got Ada born 12 march 1908 Sandon road Walton,on her marriage cert its got may miller but i know for afcat thats my mum cos i have all my dads family but he use to call her May,and on her death cert she is Ada May Morgan, and on my dads death cert it has widow A.Morgan but my mum could,nt read or write so she never signed marriage cert it must have been my dad and her fathers name was also spelt Millar when it was Mellor just misprint i think |

I think that you have confused what you know with what has been found for you over the years. I think you will need to put aside everything you think you know and work from there. you have ada mary's marriage cert and some census info. we have found some bassindales on the same street as the mellors so that may well be how they met, |
