Hi Christine2,i think i might have got the answer,Sarah Jane Atkin senior born 1844,i think she had a sibling called Emma Atkin born 1861 died 1931,even though its a big age gap the mother might have had lots of children.this Emma then married James Allender who had children one being Annie Allender.who later was living with Sarah Jane Atkin.

Yes I think you are on the right track, you need to look back to find Sarah Jane with her mother and brother William, and try to find her father. ~One find leads to another.

What certificates have you got Janette? Have you got the marriage certificate and birth certificate of Frank? I see that on the marriage reference to Edith flower in 1935 he is Frank C Dunn. Does the marriage certificate give his fathers name?
