Sidney George Harris, Cobh, Co Cork 1917

I believe my great uncle, Sidney George Harris, may have fathered a child before he died in Queenstown (Cobh) in 1917. He was in the Royal Navy and was in Queenstown for many months before he died of cancer.

Although his child may well be dead by now, their descendants may be trying to find out more but, with only a name to go on, would be finding it impossible.

So, if your ancestor was born illegitimately in Cobh in 1917 to an English father and you have been told this was his name, this may be a stroke of luck for you.
