Mike, Lisa has a child's birth cert. She knows the mother's maiden name. |

Yes it is pay per view, and I don't have a subscription either. Perhaps someone else will have a look. |

So back to square 1. Howerever, it looks as if you can discount Mary Guirney. |

A tree on Ancestry says that George Washington Rumsey was born 1843, USA, British Subject, son of John Rumsey (1816-1895) and Mary Elizabeth Guinea (1823-1900). It says he died 25 March 1866, Trent, Lenoir, North Carolina, USA. |

A similar one that I worked on was someone who had died in Rutland, England and someone had decided it was Rutland, Vermont, USA. I guess we shouldn't trust trees on Ancestry? |

Just to explain that one before going off for some hunting -- whoever owns that tree has behaved like so many people who just don't give a fig about reality and adopt Ancestry's stupid, obnoxious hints. You say Burton on Trent. Ancestry's system saw "Trent" and offered up the "hint" for Trent, NC (Ancestry being resolutely USAmerican), and the fool of a tree owner adopted it. |
