So back to getting Emmas' birth cert as your next step or risk building a fantasy tree.

There are a few Ancestry Trees for Web/Morgan. The death record for Naomi Morgan was taken from the West Virginia official records on Family Search. However,......... there is always the possibility that whoever notified the WV officials of Naomi's death had incorrect information regarding her parents.

re the Naomi webb who died in West Virginia.

I do not have access to ancestry tree but the bit I can see is that there is a naomi webb who died in west Virginia and they have her parents down as Charles Morgan and Mary Ann PRICE.

Someone with access may be able to tell you if the two deaths are the same person.

It is possible that several people have tried to search this line and have not proved the data resulting in a mixture of facts

Naomi Morgan and Jeremiah Isaac Webb married 23/4/1877 Abergavenny (June Qtr 1877 Abergavenny, Vol 11a/p99) according to a Family Tree on Ancestry and subsequently had 7 children. hi trish, do you think this is the right one then, i belive the mother was called mary ann harris, her maiden name, do you know if mary ann harris had half siblings, and do you know if naomi had children that would be some thing for me to look for on family trees thank you so much

I would order the certificate for your gt grandmother Emma Cordy. That will give you a definite name for Mary Ann. As I said above

The important thing about Emma's certificate is her parents' names. If you are right it should say Cordy formerly Harris previously Morgan (formerly = maiden name, previously =previous married name)

hi, i dont think some how it is the right birth cert, my great gran was emma cordy born in 1868, her father was thomas cordy and her mother mary ann, i think they have it down as cardy, emma married a john williams, in the cencus some one found thomas and mary cordy, there were about 4 step children who were morgan, then emma cordy and elizabeth cordy, i dont know what to do now, the one i recived today was born in blaenavon llanover upper on july 9th and the father was shadrach morgan, what do i do now, should i order another cert for some one different

You have a certificat for a Naomi but not necessarily the right one.

Especially as Shadrak does not appear to have a daughter Naomi living in 61 or 71,
