Hi, sorry not been online much. I have photocopies of 6 Alex McKenna's birth certificates that my cousin scanned when she was looking him up at the records office. She said one of them was the right one so I need to scan and enlarge the image to check which one is the correct one as she can't remember. |

I did!, but there are so many posts now. A lot of this is from a printed word document she gave me at a family reunion last week and its a nightmare deciphering it. |

The Lancs records that were damaged (by water) were parts of the 1851 census..........so they won't be relevant for the time-scale you're looking at just now. |

I also keep finding the spelling McKenny which is confusing too. |

I was told somewhere on researching another side of my family also from manchester that many lancashire records were destroyed or damaged in a fire. |

I'm wondering if the 1960 one is more likely. I don't think he died young from what family say, plus I've just realised he is in a photo with my mum who was born in 1943 |
