I think this is Annie's birth - if so, her mother must have married after her birth:

I don't think the 1891 I posted is the correct family. I have checked the birth for Niven and his parents are John Kerr and Jane Watson

My Great Grandmother daughter of John Kerr & Jane McAdam was Annie Douglas Kerr b1860 she married George Meikle 1856-1916 in 1882
It states on their marriage cert that her parents were as above
My Grandmother Elizabeth Meikle 1887-1974 married Thomas Rae 1877-1947
I think I have seen the Census where it states Jane Kerr but not Jane McAdam
